01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located on Jl. Kebon Jati No.120 in Bandung, Tjiang stands out as a must-visit Chinese restaurant specializing in authentic meat dishes, particularly those centered around pork. This cozy and inviting eatery has earned a loyal following by delivering classic flavors with a heartfelt dedication to quality and tradition.

The star of the menu is undeniably the nasi hainam campur special, a fragrant Hainanese rice dish accompanied by generous portions of roasted chicken, charsiu (Chinese barbecue pork), siobak (braised pork belly), fried meatballs, and boiled eggs. Each bite is a harmonious blend of savory, tender meats and perfectly cooked rice, offering a taste experience that transports you straight to the vibrant streets of traditional Chinese culinary culture. According to regular diners like Andreas Nugraha, this dish not only satisfies the appetite but also provides excellent value with its generous servings for a modest price.

Another highlight is Tjiang’s honey charsiu roast pork, praised for its crispy outer layer that gives way to sweet, melt-in-your-mouth pork—a texture and flavor balance that keeps guests coming back. The grilled pork here is equally exceptional, delivering a marvellous smoky depth that’s both bold and comforting, just as Edwin Petrus describes it. For those seeking a slightly different but equally delightful option, the sweet pork satay offers a charmingly mild sweetness, though some recommend a bit more fat for an even richer taste.

The restaurant's atmosphere complements the food perfectly. It strikes a comfortable balance between casual and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for both a relaxed lunch or a special meal out. Whether you’re a local or a traveler craving a genuine taste of Bandung’s Chinese pork specialties, Tjiang offers a dining experience that feels both homey and distinctly memorable.

With three branches across the city and an active presence on social media, Tjiang keeps its fans updated and engaged—making sure every visit feels fresh and exciting. If you appreciate well-executed Chinese meat dishes with bold, authentic flavors and a sincere passion for culinary tradition, a visit to Tjiang is sure to leave you with a satisfied palate and a desire to return.

We tried nasi campur special in this restaurant. The rice is quite dry..could be more moist, the sate is good..not too big but a little bit too sweet. If you have tried Kenanga or Kacamata in Jakarta, that's number 2 and 3. This is the number 1. Must try!

One of my favorite chinese restaurant in Bandung, that serve pork dishes menu. My favorite dish here, is the nasi hainam campur special. For 55 K rupiah, you will get one plate fragrant hainam rice, with very generous meat toppings, such as roasted chicken, charsiu, siobak, fried meatball, and boiled egg. I assure you its very worth and recommended to try. Beside that, they additionaly have noodles menu, bakut teh, and peking duck.

Their special honey cha sieuw roast pork is the best here, crispy and sweet, melted in your mouth. Sweet pork satay is just ok, should have morr fat and less sweet.

Marvellous taste of Chinese style grilled pork. One of the best in Bandung town. Pricing is quite expensive but worth with the quality of food served. They offer choices of rice and noodle. For special occasion, they also offer "tumpeng" rice with combination of pork delicacies. They have 3 branches in town. You may follow their Instagram and Facebook for latest update.

Ordered nasi hainam campur, not bad at all as I don't like the ca sau madu, they replace it with other meat. Their bakut is plentyful. Service was fast as worker & owner handling it simutaneously. Parking is difficult and its by the road side of very busy street. Street car parking is along the street on both sides but since this is close to the traffic light, car owner may have to park further and walk a little.

One of the best roast pork honey casiu and pork belly in Bandung. The pork belly is not too dry, but still crispy. I always go with the nasi hainan, fragant and delicious. The humble family restaurant wont offer you the best hospitality, but it doesn't bother me.
